Fire detection along coal conveyors is challenging. The environment is extremely harsh, with dust and mechanical vibration, and the conveyor infrastructure can be kilometres long. Our DTS is the optimum solution capable of permanently monitoring the entire length of conveyor infrastructure, detecting even the location of smouldering fires. In the event of fire, the DTS provides accurate location and direction of a fire which guides firefighting efforts.
