Improving industrial safety with fire detection technology

Lead the way for innovation in your workplace

Catering to a wide spectrum of industries, our expertise lies in tailoring fire detection technology to your needs.

Utilising advanced fibre optic systems, we design safety solutions with precision to address the requirements of diverse and dangerous work environments.

This ensures that businesses across industries achieve an elevated level of safety.

Mining safety amplified

Mining fires, with potential damages ranging from a few million to over $125 million in the last decade, emphasise the importance of investing in early detection technology.

Our fibre optic detection technology is fire-resistant and fire-retardant. It is built to operate in highly corrosive environments. This ensures uninterrupted operation in the harsh environments found in the mining industry.

With a design life of 40 years, the maintenance-free sensor cable is suitable for installation in explosive atmospheres. Our technology includes full accreditation, flame resistance, resistance to harsh environments, immunity to electromagnetic interference, and minimal maintenance requirements.

In comparison to traditional fire detection methods, our solution outperforms in covering large industrial areas. Our technology provides real-time monitoring and detects smouldering coal and other sources of heat before conventional detectors.

The distributed temperature sensing (DTS) detector uses a low-power (safe for underground coal mines) laser (class 1M) to generate measurement pulses in a fire-resistant and non-corrosive fibre-optic cable.

The detector provides temperature profiles along the entire sensor cable. Data is collected every 10 seconds and is measured at points every 0.5 metres to provide accurate and reliable safety updates.

The unit operates without needing recalibration and is certified for use in hazardous environments with explosive gases, vapours, or dust.

Data centres of the future

In data centres, where information flows seamlessly, early fire detection is crucial. Data centres are large users of power, which is distributed via solid copper or aluminium bus ducts operating at several thousands of amperes. Loose connections or bus duct failure can result in catastrophic explosions and fires. Our fire safety technology offers proactive protection, swiftly identifying potential threats in real time.

This certified solution integrates into your building management system, providing customisable alarms, and a variety of operating information for early temperature alerts. Our cost-effective solution ensures real-time monitoring and risk management.
